I have "that Bible". Yes, the one people stare at and wonder why another has not been purchased. When you look at the front cover of my bible, it appears normal, whole, & almost as it did when I received it as a gift. However as soon as you turn it to the side or back, you definitely see that it has been through some things, or rather, I have been through some things. Pages are curled, torn, out of place, and falling out. The back cover is completely gone. It's certainly a sight to behold, but when I behold this sight, I am reminded that I have triumphantly come through many trials, tests, & tribulations because I pick this ragged bible up every day, even when I don't feel like it. And because I pick up this beat up, torn, and ragged bible each day, I am not beat up, torn, and ragged. :)
